See Video: Brent Bozell unveils which talking heads and reporters get knuckle raps - Click Here NowBut the top prize for Quote of the Year goes to Melissa Lafsky of Discover magazine. Writing for the Huffington Post in August, after the death of Sen. Ted Kennedy, Lafsky said:
“[One wonders what]
Mary Jo Kopechne would have had to say about Ted’s death, and what she’d have thought of the life and career that are being heralded. Who knows — maybe she’d feel it was worth it.”
Bozell, whose organization tracks liberal bias in the media, told Newsmax.TV’s Ashley Martella: “Think about the mind-set here. Think of the utter illogical nature of that statement. What she’s saying is that, if Mary Jo Kopechne were to know what her death ultimately would mean for Ted Kennedy’s career, that she would think it would be worth it for her to be killed by Ted Kennedy,” when in fact her death cost him a chance to be president.
“But this really gets to the mind-set of the left, where the ends really do justify the means,” said Bozell, who also runs the Cybercast News Service. “They actually believe that Ted Kennedy is such a saintly, lionized figure that someone should be willing to be murdered by him in order to advance his career.”
